Can you please show me a screenshot of the URL you have entered. either here or PM it to me. That message is triggered only when no connection could be made to the VA site. Check again if the URL is correct, there are no white-spaces before or after the URL and the URL includes the http:// like "http://www.myva.com"

Also if you have different language versions on your site like say your phpvms is on "http://www.myva.com/en" you need to enter it like that

The topic starter had some html tags in the first line of his phpVMS PilotData.class.php file which triggered a headers already sent error.

The issue was solved by removing this line from the file so that line 1 starts with <?php now just as it is supposed to.

That is in the \core\common folder.

I have a simular error, with the timeout and checked the file, and there is nothing before the <?PHP

The issue arrises suddenly half a year ago, and I cannot find a solution.
